Mojo, thanks once again for your positive comments in relation to what's happening around Gundy. Just wanted to let you and your mates know that there is an "official" opening of the new bikeway planned for Sunday 18 May at 9.00am.
We are still organising things but we are inviting people to ride / walk the new walk from the start of the bikeway opposite the state primary school in McLean Street and finish at the waterpark with a free sausage sizzle etc. Thinking about a "best dressed" bike or similar for the younger ones - maybe we can find something for the adults too !! Should be a bit of fun

SKATEPARK WORKS DELAYED
Hi guys, as you know there's been a lot of rain around. This has meant that the skatepark reopening in Goondiwindi has been delayed for at least a week. We'll let you know when it's back in operation. On the plus side, the waterpark is back open for skiing, so get out on the water while the weather is still warm!!

BURNOUT PAD REQUEST

ANIMAL PEST MANAGEMENT WHAT DO YOU THINK?
Council has been grappling with the integration and rationalisation of pest animal control within the amalgamated Council in a background of shifting state government attitudes and funding. Control of wild dogs and dingoes can be an emotive & financially expensive issue, and evoke different views from ratepayers. The GRC believes that the best value for money is obtained through placing the highest priority on maintaining the Dingo fence, followed by baiting programs and least important is broadscale trapping. Position Statements are currently being developed and will provide information to landholders on community based programs and activities carried out by Council, which have significance for the rural districts within our local government area. The statements will be available on Council’s website or customer service centres from next week. In the meantime, tell us what you think!
